About the Covenant
Origin
The Soteria Covenant was convened in 2025 in response to a simple observation: the institutions that claim to protect ordinary people, legal, financial, ecclesiastical, increasingly exist to harvest them. When they fail, the only recourse offered is further submission to the same apparatus.
The Covenant offers a different arrangement: a private ecclesiastical non-commercial trust, standing on its own authority, operating its own jurisdictions, and protecting the natural rights, bonded estates, and standing of its members.
The name Soteria comes from the Greek σωτηρία, meaning salvation, deliverance, preservation. It is the act of being made whole.
What We Are
The Covenant is not a corporation. It is not a church in the statutory sense. It is not a political movement, a fraternal order, or a non-profit organization. It is not chartered by, licensed by, or answerable to any Crown-derived authority.
The Covenant is a trust in the oldest sense of the word: a living arrangement between living men and women, sustained by continuous action, mutual faith, and an immutable record. Its authority is original, not derived, flowing from the inherent right of living beings to assemble, covenant, and govern their own affairs.
Members enter under a chain of prior encumbrance, backed by real infrastructure, sealed instruments, and a hash-chained ledger that does not forget.
Members of the Covenant operate exclusively in private capacity under trust authority. No member is, or may be presumed to be, an agent, officer, employee, fiduciary, or surety of any state. The Covenant expressly rebuts, under Article X of its Charter, the administrative presumptions by which states have, in both Canada and the United States, silently converted living beings into statutory offices of the state.
Structure
The Covenant operates under eight jurisdictional seals and is administered through clearly defined roles:
- Steward: The highest officer, responsible for the trust's continuity and direction
- Senior Trustees: Manage critical operations: Lex Nigra, GDPR, inter-organization relations
- Administrators: Day-to-day operations: member management, enrollment approvals, auditing
- Junior Trustees: Active participants with voting rights and community access
- Beneficiaries: Protected members who receive the services and protections of the trust
Every role is governed by the trust instrument and upheld by the Tribunal. No one is above the law of the Covenant, including its officers.
Who Administers the Covenant
The Covenant is convened and administered by a small circle of officers operating under the Trust Seal. There is no board, no shareholders, no outside investors, and no external funding. Every officer serves under oath, bonded to the trust through a performance bond, and indemnified by the trust for acts performed in faithful service.
The identities of officers are protected. The office matters; the person holding it at any given moment does not. This is deliberate. A covenant that survives only so long as a particular individual stands at its head is not a covenant; it is a personality cult. The Soteria Covenant is built to outlast any of its officers.
Inquiries intended for the Steward, the Clerk, or the Tribunal may be directed through the contact page or, for members, through the Membership Portal.
Principles
- Transparency: All trust acts are hash-chained, GPG-signed, and OpenTimestamps-anchored. The ledger does not lie.
- Accountability: Every action bears a seal, a timestamp, and an actor. There is always a paper trail.
- Jurisdictional Independence: We do not petition external authorities to resolve internal matters. The Tribunal exists for this purpose.
- Protection: The trust exists to shield its members. Enforcement is not optional.
- Dignity: Every member is a living soul with inherent rights. The system serves the people, not the reverse.
Infrastructure
The Covenant runs entirely on trust infrastructure: dedicated trust-owned hardware with secure VPS failover, operating 30+ engines and services under the Private Virtual Estate Seal. Highlights include:
